Humans of Railway Gardens: a pop up exhibition. Plus spot them around Cardiff!

We're proud to share this pop up photo exhibition in collaboration with Tamsin Stirling.

In 2014, local group Edible Adamsdown had the idea to look for more space to grow. For several years, we held lots of conversations in the community; perhaps you were part of these?

In 2019, we gained permission to use this space, formerly a derelict playground.

In 2021, we received a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund to bring the community’s ideas to life.

Humans of Railway Gardens is a photo exhibition celebrating some of the incredible people who have been part of this journey and are helping to make our community fairer, greener, and stronger for the future.

You can come and enjoy the open air gallery at the Gardens until September 28th, or if you can’t make it we’ve got a digital version of the gallery here.

These portraits were taken by local photographer Tamsin Stirling. Establishing this project and creating this photo exhibition have both been made possible thanks to support from the National Lottery Community Fund. A huge thank you also to GoodShed who built the stands for the exhibition and thank you to Out Of Hand for donating billboard space. And of course a HUGE thank you to everyone who took part!
