There's a lot to choose from at Railway Gardens

Our programme is packed with regular and special events led by Green Squirrel plus loads of community led events, from craft sessions and support groups to open mic nights! 

Our regular opening hours for anyone to pop in and enjoy the gardens are currently:

Monday: coming soon! 

Tuesday: 10am – 3pm

Wednesday: 10am – 3pm

Thursday: 10am – 3pm

Friday: 10am – 12pm

Saturday: Times vary, please check timetable below. 

During these times you are very welcome to pop in and take a walk around, visit the cafe (check opening times below), bring the kids in to explore and play, pick some herbs, or find a seat on a bench and read a book, watch the trains or simply relax. Dogs on leads are welcome.

Tuesdays

Alternate Tuesdays, 10:30am – 12:30pm: People in Pain Support Group

12:30 – 2:30pm: Stay and Play with Honeycomb Toys, plus Toy Library

12:30pm – 1:30pm: Welsh learners’ practice group

2pm – 4pm: goodShed Group: Part of the Men’s Shed movement, all welcome. 

Wednesdays

10am – 2pm: Benthyg (the library of things) open for borrowing

1pm – 3pm: Wellbeing Cafe (free and open to all)

Thursdays

10am – 2pm: Benthyg (the library of things) open for borrowing

10:30am – 12pm: Railway Writers creative writing group, all welcome

Fridays

10:30 – 12:30pm: Volunteer Fridays

Saturdays

Weekly: 10am – 2pm: Benthyg (the library of things) open for borrowing

Monthly: Gardening Club, see programme below for dates and times

We offer free and low cost use of the site for community activities
