Jade Lewis is joining us for a six month placement as our Comms and Marketing Officer. We are delighted to welcome her to the team, and know she's going to bring a lot of brilliant ideas and energy to our work.
Hi everyone, my name’s Jade, I live in Blackwood and I’m so excited to be a part of this amazing team for the next 6 months. I’m excited to get involved and get to know everyone.
From the 6 month placement, I’m hoping to learn so many different things, from ways to grow fruit and vegetables, to how I can be more sustainable. I also want to learn about practical things like how to write good blogs and how to help running social media.
When lockdown began, I started gardening like I’m sure most people did too. I started with difficult plants like cucumber and watermelon, it’s safe to say that my first go didn’t end well. But I’m hoping to be very successful this year with growing a bunch of different plants and becoming sustainable with growing my own foods.
As for my hobbies, I have a huge passion for drawing, especially digitally. I love the way you can express yourself through your creations. I find it inspiring. I also love that it doesn’t have to be perfect, it can be so imperfect yet someone else will find it absolutely beautiful.
Aside from drawing, I also love to go for walks, being outside in nature is so peaceful, nothing compares to the peace and bliss you feel when walking in a forest, or along a mountain top (careful not to fall over the edge).
